On SN/05 (subnet 5), record real life tasks to teach robots how to see and act

Bringing Real-World Learning to Robotics
Robots learn best from the real world — not just simulations or scripted data. Everyday actions like opening a door, pouring a drink, or walking down a hallway carry thousands of subtle cues about how humans move and interact with their environment.
SeeSaw by Virtuals, now live as SN/05 (Subnet 5) on BitRobot, turns those moments into something powerful: collective training data for the next generation of machines.
With SeeSaw, anyone can help improve how robots understand the world — simply by recording short clips from daily life — and earn rewards when their contributions help advance research.
How It Fits into the BitRobot Network
BitRobot is building the world’s open robotics lab — a shared infrastructure for anyone working to move robotics forward.
Projects on BitRobot run as Subnets, each focused on tackling a specific robotic area of development — from navigation to manipulation to data collection. Every subnet uses BitRobot’s coordination layer to manage contributors, verify work, and distribute rewards onchain.
As SN/05, SeeSaw adds a new dimension to this ecosystem: human perspective.
It brings together thousands of contributors collecting real-world video data, verified through BitRobot’s Verifiable Robotic Work (VRW) system — a way to confirm that each task adds measurable value to the broader research effort.
By joining the network, Virtuals gains a reliable way to organize contributors and validate the impact of every submission, while participants gain a transparent path to earn from their work.
How It Works
Sign up — Download SeeSaw on the App Store and log in with your email.
Browse Quests — Choose from simple prompts like “clean the kitchen counter” or “make a sandwich.”
Record and Submit — Follow the instructions, film your clip, and upload.
Get Verified and Rewarded — Once validated, you’ll earn points and prizes tied to your verified contributions.
Each verified clip becomes qualified data used by researchers, builders, and other BitRobot subnets working to teach robots how to perceive and move through real environments.
Open Collaboration for Real Progress
For years, robotics progress has happened behind closed doors — in labs few people have access to. BitRobot takes the opposite approach: open participation, shared infrastructure, and measurable progress that benefits everyone.
SeeSaw extends that mission beyond labs and into daily life. By collecting natural, unscripted data from people everywhere, it helps build the foundation for more capable, adaptable robots — and a more inclusive future for robotics research.
More Rewards and Missions Coming Soon
The first SeeSaw quests are live now, with more to follow.
Over the next few weeks, Virtuals will roll out new mission types, limited-time leaderboards, and subnet-wide challenges designed to expand what contributors can record and how they’re rewarded.
Early participants in SN/05 will also earn points toward network-wide rewards launching soon across BitRobot for verified robotic work, more information coming soon.
Start Teaching Robots Today
BitRobot makes robotics research something anyone can join and contribute to. Whether you’re a researcher, a hobbyist, or just curious about the future of robotics, SeeSaw gives you a simple way to take part — and see the impact of your work in real time.
